Make The Best Out Of This Year’s Pancake Day
Half term is here and families with children are faced with the need for home entertainment for a week. Some families might be able to go on a holiday and use the break to spend some time together. However, not everyone is able to get the time off, afford a holiday in the middle of the year or just prefer staying at home.
For those families that prefer spending some time at home there are exciting things you can do this same week – Pancake Day is on the 17th or if you’ve missed it its not too late to still have some delicious pancakes. Having a day in the kitchen making pancakes with the kids would be an ideal way to create some memories, while at the same time teach them how to make one of the most important dishes – pancakes!
Since pancakes are very easy to make, it will be exciting for the children to make them themselves from scratch. The best part would be when they could actually decorate them too. Adding cream, Nutella and fruit would allow them to decorate the pancakes in all kinds of shapes and faces and have even more fun while eating.
On another note, if you are not a huge fan of cooking, you most certainly will enjoy eating them. In addition, your children might turn out to be very excited about their new cooking skills and surprise you with pancakes on the weekends. Wouldn’t this be perfect?
After you’ve finished with your Pancake Day activities your kitchen will most probably be a mess full of flour, egg and chocolate. If you have a Granite Transformations worktop, however, you will be able to quickly and easily clean it. You won’t need to be worried about any scratched surfaces either and the process would be stress-free.
