Be Brave And Host A Dinner Party

Everybody likes to have friends over for the evening, it’s an opportunity to catch up, gossip and on some occasions get a bit silly. Some people are put off throwing a dinner party because they are under the illusion that it needs to be a grand affair. Most dinner party guests will just be happy to be there and enjoy your company.

If you want to really wow your guests with minimal effort then there are a few things you can do to ensure that your evening is worth getting scored a 10 on Come Dine With Me.

The first thing to do is remain calm and invite your friends round. At this point you should accept the possibility that something could go wrong. Plates could get dropped, the wine could run out and somebody could even be too busy to come. In spite of all this you will end up having fun with your guests that turn up, just relax.

Then comes the fun part, choosing the food you’ll be making. At this point it’s a good idea to decide if you’ll be going for a themed night. French themed foods could work for a more formal dinner party whereas Mexican and Italian foods are suited for a more formal gathering.

It’s often a good idea to use tried and true recipes that you know will work, it’s even better if they can be made a day or two in advance. If you and your friends like to experiment with different recipes why not get everybody to bring a dish round, that way there’ll be a lot to choose from on the night and everybody can get involved.
