Kitchen Trends - the latest kitchen appliances

At the beginning of this year three futuristic appliances were unveiled at the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas.

Smart Timesaving Bin

GeniCan is a gadget which clips onto the inside of a bin. When items are discarded into the bin it scans barcodes from the waste packaging and adds this item to your Amazon online shopping list automatically.

If the scanner hasn’t picked up the barcode or if the barcode is damaged you can simply speak to the GeniCan device to ask it to add an item to your Amazon shopping list. Currently, this device is only available in the US but we don’t think it will be long until it arrives on our shores.

Brilliant Bulb

The Beam Projector Lightbulb is an oversized light bulb which can fit into any standard light fitting. However that’s where its similarities with a standard light bulb end.

This LED light has a built in projector which is controlled by a smartphone app. From the light fitting you can project Netflix, YouTube and Google onto your floor, wall or worktop. This could include recipes being screened to your kitchen wall, worktop or table for you to follow step by step!

Move over fridge magnet, there’s now a fridge tablet!

LG have launched a new fridge to the consumer market, although it comes with a hefty price tag you do get a fridge and tablet all in one. The Windows 10 tablet is on the front fridge door and it turns semi-transparent to enable you to see what’s in the fridge without opening the door.

The tablet is fully functioning for the rest of the time so you can use google, youtube or even watch a film whilst cooking in the kitchen.

If you want to spruce up your kitchen without overhauling the entire space, upgrading appliances can be an easy update. Find out more about the appliances and finishing touches we offer.
